References & Bibliography Editing

€1.50 per source listed in the bibliography + VAT

  • Proofreading and correcting in-text citations or footnotes and the list of sources (sometimes called Works Cited, Bibliography or References), following a specific style guidelines (ex. MLA, APA, Chicago, AMA, … ) or custom instructions

  • Cross-checking the document for missing sources, comparing in-text sources against the reference list

  • Researching sources to verify information and complete where necessary (ex. missing dates or publishers)

Proofreading & Feedback

€0.035 per word + VAT

  • Proofreading & academic English correction, making sure tone is appropriate and language conventions are followed

  • Feedback on clarity of language and sentence structure, with tips on how to rephrase arguments where needed

  • Feedback on the overall document structure, evaluating wether or not the story flows well and logically

  • A lighter, faster proofreading, designed for final drafts

  • Fewer comments – does not include feedback on document structure

  • Best used as a follow up on other services

1-on-1 Tutoring

€25 online or €30 in person per hour + VAT

  • Feedback and tips in person in Amsterdam or online

  • A chance to ask questions and discuss your research or writing difficulties

  • Can be tailored to a specific need, for example going over document structure specifically, or teaching a skill in Word

  • Best used in combination with other services, so that I can review your writing before we meet

Final Check

€0.015 per word + VAT

All edits are made in a Word or Google document and delivered in three versions:

  1. with track changes and comments

  2. a ready-to-use ‘clean’ Word or Google document with no traces of correction

  3. a ready-to-use PDF

  • Assistance with document layout and presentation in Word or Google Docs

  • Checking & correcting style: title page, paragraph formatting, page numbering, captions, header styles, table of contents, and list of figures

  • Automating document features: tables of contents, page numbering the text styles, lists or indexes

Diagnosis

€25 per document + VAT

  • A preliminary evaluation of your document, providing comments on presentation, writing, and source citation

  • Comes with a check list of steps to take to make your document perfect, with links to ressrouces to help you do it yourself if you wish.
